Township Board Meetings

The Lyons Township Board meets at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of each month at the Township Hall, Prairie St., Lyons. For information, contact Township Supervisor Charles Babcock, (989) 855-3740 or ccjersey43@yahoo.com..

 

Fire Departments

Two fire departments serve Lyons Township. For emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies, contact:

> Lyons: Lyndon Randall, 405 Garden St., Muir, (989) 855-2545.

> Pewamo: Bill Wandell, 155 W. Main, Pewamo, (989) 593-3193.

 

Cemeteries

Two cemeteries are available in Lyons Township. The Lyons Township Cemetery is located east of Lyons on Kimball Road. The Spaulding Cemetery is on Dexter Trail near Pewamo. For information regarding cemetery plots, contact the sexton, Bernard Russell, at (989) 855-3674.

 

Property Taxes and Assessments

The township assessor is Randy Jewell, whose schedule is listed below. A three-member Board of Review meets on a regular basis and can be contacted by calling Chief Assessor Charles Babcock at (989) 855-3740.
